What do you think? Would Mia be a good fit?

Johanna Mason may look a little like Jane Eyre. According to the Indiewire blog The Playlist, “Jane Eyre” actress Mia Wasikowska and Zoe Aggeliki are on the short list of contenders to play Johanna in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” the highly anticipated follow-up to “The Hunger Games.”

In the Suzanne Collins-penned novels, Johanna is the last surviving female Hunger Games victor from District 7. (Which Games she conquered isn’t known.) She meets Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) before the 75th Hunger Games and forms an uneasy bond with the bow-and-arrow wielding heroine. Johanna is also friendly with Finnick Odair, a role producers are also still trying to cast. Taylor Kitsch, Armie Hammer, Robert Pattinson and Garrett Hedlund were all rumored at one point or another to play Finnick.

While Wasikowska is slightly older than Lawrence, she doesn’t necessarily seem right for the part on first glance. Johanna has a strong-willed sexuality in the books, something that the “Alice in Wonderland” star has yet to exhibit onscreen. (Someone like “Shameless” star Emmy Rossum might be a better fit for Johanna.)

Aggeliki is a newcomer to the scene, but has a supporting role in “R.I.P.D.,” a supernatural action comedy with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. That film is due in theaters next summer.

Miu Miu‘s Spring 2012 ads have been brightening up the pages of our glossies for the past few months now with their cheerful hot-pink-and-canary-yellow backgrounds and abundance of print-happy pieces. Now the brand has released a video to accompany the campaign, starring Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, and, yes, it is just as colorful as the print versions. In addition, I found some new photos from the spring campaign.

Australian actor Mia Wasikowska is set to star in Tracks, a film from See-Saw producers Emile Sherman and Iain Canning.Based on the memoir of the same name by Robyn Davidson, the movie will follow the journey of a young woman as she travels 2,700 kilometres through the desert from Alice Springs to the west coast of Australia.

Wasikowska will portray Davidson, who made the epic journey back in 1977, accompanied solely by four camels, a dog, and, on occasion, by American stills photographer Rick Smolan. John Curran will direct, with Transmission handling distribution in Australia and New Zealand. Momentum Pictures will release the film in the UK. Rights have also been sold to Switzerland and Italy.
